SYSTEM ANALYSIS: THE MARITIME STRATEGY
Unlike land empires (Babylon, Assyria) which are slow and heavy, a maritime empire is fast, decentralized, and parasitic. It controls the "flow" of wealth rather than the land itself. Tyre was the first "Globalist" power, spreading the alphabet, commerce, and the worship of Baal/Melqart to the ends of the Mediterranean.

When Tyre fell to Alexander the Great (prophesied in Ezekiel 26), the spiritual headquarters of the Adversary moved to its greatest colony: Carthage.
Carthage was the "New City" (Qart-Hadasht). It was a civilization built on child sacrifice (the Tophet) and mercantile dominance. Its champion was Hannibal Barca ("Grace of Baal"), the greatest military genius of the ancient world.
